Post 58: Majestic Oak Winery

October 15th, 2017

Well today marked the start of our first ‘snowbird’ experience. We left Campers Corners near London Ontario and headed South. Our first overnight stop was at Majestic Oak Winery.

Our ‘loose’ plan is to head to New Orleans and arrive there the last week of October. We hope to spend a week there and then head to Texas. After Texas we will wonder to Arizonia.

Majestic Oak Winery

Tonight we stayed at Majestic Oak Winery, near Grand Rapids Ohio. We found this spot using Harvest Hosts. Here is a link to their website.

Majest Oak Winery opened in 2010 and now offers up 18 different types of wines. All are made on site.

We were met by a very friendly staff member who directed us where to park. We parked right next to the vineyards with a great view. So quiet and peaceful!

After parking, we went back for some wine tasting. Bill sampled a red called Providence and Joy tried a lovely white that she quite enjoyed. Both wines were very beautiful.

The store had lots of unique and local crafts. It was pleasant to walk around. They even had live music out on the enclosed patio.

We felt very welcome and would certainly visit again when in the area.
