Corinth Recreation Area, Double Springs, Al

Corinth Recreation Area, Double Springs, Alabama is a beautiful, well maintained campground. We found this awesome campground on Campendium.

The GPS coordinates on Campendium are wrong. You have to use the ones we received from the campground itself which are; N 34 06′ 32.0″     W 087 19′ 17.5, otherwise you will end up at the top of a hill on a narrow road with nothing in sight lol.

Or you could do what we ended up doing once we were so terribly lost, just type in “Corinth Recreation Area” in to Google. THAT brought us to the correct location.

Once you are at the campground, you will find a super friendly camp host at the gate or a telephone number to call him to come down to meet you. He lives on the campground at site #1, not far away. No check ins allowed after 9:00 pm

About Corinth Recreation Area

Once inside, there are 51 RV sites spread over 2 loops and 30+ Tent sites, a lovely beach area, a boat launch area, and a day use area. As far as we are concerned there are no bad sites here :).

The roads are all paved and well marked. Sites are paved for the RVs and gravel where the picnic table and fire pit are. You even have two very nice 8′ poles to hang a lantern on. All the RV sites come with water, electric, and waste. There is a washroom area in each loop with showers as well.

The tent areas are all gravel with picnic area and tent area separated. Again with two poles to hang lanterns on each site.

This campground is spotless, surrounded by forest with walking trails here and there. We have really enjoyed our stay here and would not mind coming back again.

The cost for an RV was 28$ a night. There is a discount if you are a senior.
