We found out that family and friends actually loved getting postcards from us. Who would have thought? 🙂 Sending postcards was an adventure!!

BUT, we also found out something so simple was actually quite difficult to do on the road. Finding postcards was easy enough and they were quite reasonable to purchase. BUT finding stamps and mail boxes was a TOTALLY different matter.

So we learned that if you buy SEVERAL stamps at one time and specify International and/or domestic (for USA or Canada depending on your needs). Then when you find your postcards apply the stamps and you are ready to go.

Next you look for either a Post Office that may or may not be open when you come across them. Or local post boxes in a residential area. There seems to be very few actual Mail boxes now a days. They all seem to have these community mail boxes that you can slip your cards in.

It becomes a scavenger hunt for mail boxes. LOL. It makes it a lot easier if you already have the stamps on hand.
